Huddersfield Sports Hall will close at 8.30pm on Thursday 1st May and all of Huddersfield Sports Centres facilities will be closed on Friday 2nd May until 6.30pm. The closure will mean that a number of classes will be cancelled on Thursday, step at 6.30pm, aerobics at 7.30pm and Boxercise at 8.30pm. On Friday all activities will be cancelled until the building re-opens at 6.30pm. The Sports Hall is being used as a counting station during this period, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. For further information please contact the centre on 01484 223630. |

The Huddersfield aerobathon took place on Sunday 6th April to help raise money for Kirkwood Hospice. Participants were asked to pay £5 to enter or to collect sponsors, all proceeds going to the hospice. The event lasted for over 3 hours and incorporated a number of exercise classes including pilates and boxercise, over 40 people attended including the fitness instructors who had all given up their time to take part and help with the event. Over £350 was raised for this worthy cause. |

Sport4Life is launching a new Ballroom dancing class at Huddersfield Sports Centre on Wednesday 27th Feb, 1.30-2.30pm. All abilities are welcome and the classes will incorporate many different dancing styles including ballroom, salsa and Latin. |
